circle-to-search

Google has released an upgrade for Circle to Search, its sophisticated search function that is now accessible on a few Google Pixel and Samsung Galaxy handsets. Once you highlight, scribble, or circle text on your screen, you can now instantly translate it in-line. However, this feature is only available on phones that support Circle to Search, which was first made available on the Samsung Galaxy S24 lineup before being extended to some of Google’s earlier smartphones.

After a user saw the new feature on Telegram, writer Mishaal Rahman announced its launch in a post on X, the old Twitter platform. When the update is made available to users, they will see a new translate button in the lower right corner of the screen, which will enable them to read in-line translations, as per a little video that Rahman posted.

Users must use the Circle to search interface, which displays the blue animation and microphone and lens icons above the Google search bar, in order to utilize the new translation capability. The most recent version of the search bar has a new translate button to the right of it. Tapping it will translate every word on your screen straight away. The translation languages are also modifiable at the screen’s bottom.

The new feature is already being rolled out, and in the upcoming weeks, customers’ cellphones should certainly have it. As previously stated, it will be accessible on gadgets that enable Circle to Search, such as the Pixel 6 and more recent Google-branded smartphones, the Samsung Galaxy S24 and S23 series of smartphones, and the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5.

It is noteworthy that those who do not possess Circle to Search access on their mobile device can still obtain in-line translations with Google Lens. Instant translations are available for screenshots taken with the phone and photographs taken with Google Lens thanks to the integrated translate function. The main benefit of Circle to Search is that it allows you to search for certain items or text and translate it without requiring you to exit the app, making it a more comfortable experience overall.
