The collection of free games that PlayStation Plus will get in February has been revealed by Sony. The new 4v4 online party shooter Foamstars, the shooter-skater hybrid Rollerdrome, and the Souls-like action-RPG Steelrising are among the games available each month. Starting on February 6, PS Plus Essential, Extra, and Deluxe/Premium members will be able to play the three titles. Up until March 4, PS Plus members can add the free games to their collection. As long as players have a valid PS Plus subscription, all three titles will be available once they are added to the library.
The PlayStation site posted the February free game lineup on Wednesday. This month, Sony is giving away a few more treats on top of the free games. The Fall Guys Icons bundle, which includes recognizable Aloy and Ratchet & Clank in-game attire, is available to all PS Plus subscribers. On February 6, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will be available for a two-hour time-limited trial to PS Plus Premium/Deluxe users.
It’s also important to remember that PS Plus subscribers have until February 5 to add A Plague Tale: Requiem, Evil West, and Nobody Saves the World—the three free titles from last month—to their collection. What February’s free titles have in store is as follows:
1. Foamstars
Square Enix’s 4v4 party shooter Foamstars, which debuted on the first day of PS Plus service, is the top game in the monthly free games roster. The game, which appears to have been greatly influenced by Nintendo’s Splatoon, has oddball characters fighting while floating through battlefields that have been saturated. Three PvP modes spread across three randomly selected maps will be available at launch.
Additionally, the game will have a PvE mode called Missions that offers cooperative experiences for four players as well as solo play. According to Square Enix, the game will receive post-launch seasonal content for the next year. This material will consist of new game modes, cosmetics, playable characters, and maps. PS5 and PS4 users will be able to access Foamstars.
2. Rollerdrome
This month, Roll7’s distinct third-person shooter—which also functions as a skate game—will be available on PS Plus. Players take on the role of Kara Hassan, a competitor in a hybrid sport that pits armed roller skaters against one another in an arena, in the highly praised game. You shoot other competitors while executing clever maneuvers, and if you survive, you advance to the next round. Actually, pulling pranks gives you more leverage.
You can blast through the rink with greater weapons as you advance. Additionally, completing the optional tasks in each stage will result in extra benefits. In addition, the game’s distinctive visual style stands in stark contrast to the sport it is named for. PS5 and PS4 users will be able to get Rollerdrome.
3. Steelrising
Steelrising is the ideal game for fans of action-RPGs with brutal melee fighting. In this Soulslike, the French Revolution is won by a robotic army in a Paris of a different era. The mechanical automatons in Steelrising are reminiscent of the puppets from Lies of P, and the action combat in the game is as taxing. Steelrising, a game created by Spiders, rewards and encourages aggressive play with a quick stamina regeneration system.
Along with historical people from French history, the scenario has players fighting fiercely on Parisian rooftops and streets. Steelrising will only run on the PlayStation 5.
PlayStation also revealed the lineup of new titles that will be available on its Extra and Deluxe/Premium tiers last month. Resident Evil 2, Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands – Next-Level Edition, Hardspace: Shipbreaker, and more titles are among the new additions to the January game lineup.
In India, the monthly cost of a PlayStation Plus Essential subscription is Rs. 499; the Extra and Deluxe levels are Rs. 749 and Rs. 849, respectively.
